摘要: Bears undergo some significant changes reflected in blood values during winter season. The most are reduced urea and increased creatinine, by authors considered to be physiological indicators of hibernation. Studied group six captive brown bears (Ursus arctos) showed decreased activity but were accepting food walked outdoors. Blood parameters assessed February 2011 revealed mean leucocytes neutrophils as significantly lower, creatinine compared free living sampled other seasons when active.
