Humidity responsive single-layered film fabricated by hydrophilic titanium oxide nanotubes

摘要: We fabricated a humidity responsive film comprising bundle of titanium oxide tubes, which changes its curvature corresponding to the relative humidity. The mechanism changing can be explained by adsorption, condensation, and evaporation water molecules within film. During liquid bridge is formed because growth layer between thus contracting tubes. When vapor pressure exceeds equilibrium pressure, condensation occurs at meniscus bridge, expanding gap obtained adsorption desorption isotherms for determining physical adsorption. Additionally, we demonstrated varying motions sensing when droplet was applied on surface. sensor could distinguish saturated oversaturated conditions, such as fog rain, respectively, not possible using resistive sensors.
