摘要: Abstract In this study, the transport properties (i.e. methanol and proton transport) of a triblock copolymer ionomer, sulfonated poly(styrene-isobutylene-styrene) (S-SIBS), at various ion contents were investigated for its application to direct fuel cell (DMFC). Methanol permeabilities in S-SIBS more than an order magnitude lower Nafion 117, but conductivities only three-fold less ambient conditions. was approximately 5–10 times selective conductivity/methanol permeability) 117 over content range 0.5–1.0 mmol/g. Also, results follow power law dependent percolation model, where critical exponent diffusion much those reported other studies, suggesting ordered nanostructure. addition, higher temperatures (80 °C) examined. At 80 °C, 1.3 1.0 mmol/g, 39 0.5 mmol/g.
