摘要: In studies of surfactant adsorption from aqueous solutions onto solid substrates, a number investigators have reported finding maxima followed by minima. Aiken (1) found maximum at the CMC minimum when measuring sodium alkyl sulfates solution cotton and wool. Corrin et al. (3), Meader Fries (19), Void Sivaramakrishnan (30), Phansalkar (29), Evans (4), Fava Eyring (5), Flett (6), Mukerjee Anavil (21) all results similar to those Aiken. It is remarkable that these involved variety substrates which no obvious common features. Carbon black, wool, cotton, polystyrene, graphite been used, precluding any attempt ascribe observed behavior features intrinsic surface. There was, however, one feature studies. each, adsorbate was long-chain amphiphilic molecule if minima are real in sense properties individual isotherms, rather than being related fact it relative measured, then explanation may some way find its origin structure micelles while essentially independent substrate. The existence an not first thought evoke much curiosity since well known that, for miscible binary mixtures,
