摘要: Pistachio nut (Pistacia vera L.) is one of the popular tree nuts in world. Proper selection packaging materials necessary to prevent absorption moisture and aflatoxin formation which will influence overall product quality safety. This research undertaken study effect different type flexible films on contents whole pistachio during storage at ambient temperature (22–28 °C) relative humidity 85–100%. Five types plastic tested were low density polyethylene (LDPE) serves as control, food-grade polyvinyl chloride (PVC), nylon (LDPE/PA), polyamide/polypropylene (PA/PP) terephthalate (PET). The content measured using oven drying method HPLC, respectively. Sample analysed 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 10 months period. Results showed that there was an increase with time nuts. associated level time. All except LDPE delayed product. most suitable for maintaining safety PET followed by nylon, PA/PP PVC. shelf-life can be extended from 2 months (Control) 5 months when used material.
