摘要: Deforestation in the tropics seems to be a serious problem probably because of reduction soil CEC and consequent losses nutrients from soils. Here, changes these parameters as influenced by deforestation well vegetative cover were studied; statistical methods applied interpret results. Cultivation causes significant CEC, total content exchangeable bases Ca2+ Mg2+ levels compared adjoining unmanaged forest land. Levels K+ Na+, however, do not change significantly. Evergreen soils have highest bases, K+. Deciduous forest, grassland cultivated statistically similar contents Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+. Exchangeable is affected cover. Soil shows fairly good correlation with organic carbon only evergreen In others, apparently does influence All show excellent between their bases. It concluded that for regeneration weathered tropical soils, an provides most effective means; deciduous vegetation or grass seem promising.
