摘要: — A new glow peak at 120 K has been observed in Rhodopseudomanas sphaeroides and its carotenoidless green mutant. This (labelled Zn), which is composed of two peaks 150 K, appears when the bacteria are illuminated with white light while being cooled to 77 then warmed darkness a heating rate 10 per min. Delayed emission prompt fluorescence spectra show around 530, 610 660 nm. The action major 410 nm smaller 545 pigment responsible for also leached out suspension medium. chromophore be magnesium protoporphyrin IX, not bacteriochlorophyll.
