摘要: Little is known about the association between autophagy and diabetic cardiomyopathy. Also unknown are possible distinguishing features of cardiac in type 1 2 diabetes. In hearts from streptozotocin-induced mice, diastolic function was impaired, though autophagic activity significantly increased, as evidenced by increases microtubule-associated protein light chain 3/LC3 LC3-II/-I ratios, SQSTM1/p62 (sequestosome 1) CTSD (cathepsin D), abundance vacuoles lysosomes detected electron-microscopically. AMP-activated kinase (AMPK) activated ATP content reduced hearts. Treatment with chloroquine, an inhibitor, worsened performance addition, db/db model mice exhibited poorer than control db/+ mice. However, levels LC3-II, SQSTM1 phosphorylated MTOR (mechanistic target rapamycin) were but decreased very few ultrastructurally, despite vacuoles. AMPK suppressed These findings suggest process at final digestion step Resveratrol, enhancer, mitigated dysfunction, while chloroquine had opposite effects Autophagy heart enhanced diabetes, This difference provides important insight into pathophysiology cardiomyopathy, which essential for development new treatment strategies.
