摘要: This study was designed to investigate a possible relationship between bacterial L forms and inflammatory bowel disease. Homogenates of intestinal mucosal biopsies from Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, control patients underwent culture on hypertonic media for the recovery L-form bacteria parental organisms. were recovered 24 71 51 121 2 140 biopsy specimens. These isolation rates are significantly different when disease specimens (p less than 0.001) colitis compared with controls. Six types recovered, which most common Escherichia coli Streptococcus fecalis. No marked differences observed in or patients. Drug treatment did not affect type recovered. The results suggest either that involved causation their presence tissues is result process.
