摘要: Abstract Mass spectrometry (MS) is an extremely powerful analytical technique capable of yielding chemical composition with high levels speed, sensitivity, and selectivity. However, differentiation according to analyte structure stereochemistry beyond the reach routine mass analysis requires a second dimension capture structural heterogeneity populations. With marked gains in resolution robustness since 1970s, ion mobility (IMS) has served as alternative detection approach following chromatography. IMS cannot provide compositional information furnished by arguably more appropriate complementary separation method prior MS analysis. introduction intermediate, post-ionization stage space across which species are resolved greatly expands but also places new pressures on performance platforms. Currently, biochemical, clinical, food, natural product, environmental analyses primary applications for chromatography-IMMS methods.
