摘要: Abstract. Posterior fluxes obtained from inverse modelling are difficult to verify because there is no dense network of flux measurements available evaluate estimates against. Here we present a new diagnostic structures in posterior fluxes. First, simulate the change atmospheric CO2 fields between and prior fluxes, referred as adjustments due updated (PAAFs). Second, calculate uncertainty solely meteorological fields, imperfect meteorology (PAAMs). We argue that PAAF can only be considered robust if it exceeds PAAM, is, changes should at least exceed arising meteorology. On global scale, troposphere reflects northern extratropical whereas stratospheric primarily reflect tropical In general, larger spatiotemporal variations for GOSAT inversion than inversion.
