摘要: Abstract The combustion characteristics of acetone–butanol–ethanol (ABE) and diesel blends were studied in a constant volume chamber under both conventional low temperature (LTC) conditions. In this work, 20 vol.% ABE without water (ABE20) was mixed with the vol.% acetone, butanol ethanol kept at 30%, 60% 10% respectively. advantageous ABE-diesel include higher oxygen content which promotes soot oxidation compared to pure diesel; longer ignition delay lift-off length allowing more air entrainment upstream spray jet thus providing better air–fuel mixing. Based on analysis, it is found that ambient 800 K 11%, ABE20 presented close-to-zero luminosity efficiency D100 suggesting ABE, an intermediate product during fermentation, very promising alternative fuel be directly used engines especially LTC Meanwhile, ABE–diesel contain multiple components possessing drastically different volatilities, greatly favor occurrence micro-explosion. This feature may result atomization mixing enhancement, all contribute performance
