摘要: Abstract A new application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), the high-speed charge-to-time converter (QTC) IWATSU CLC101, provides three channels, each consisting of preamplifier, discriminator, low-pass filter, and charge integration circuitry, optimized for waveform a photomultiplier tube (PMT). This ASIC detects PMT signals using individual built-in discriminators drives output timing whose width represents signal. Combined with external input circuits composed passive elements, QTC full analog signal processing detector's PMTs, ready further by time-to-digital converters (TDCs). High-rate ( > 1 MHz ) is achieved short-charge-conversion-time baseline-restoration circuits. Wide-range measurements are enabled offering gain ranges while maintaining short cycle time. chip test results show good performance, efficient detection single photoelectron signal, four orders magnitude dynamic range 0.3 mV ∼ 3 V ; 0.2 2500 pC ), 1% linearity, 0.2 pC resolution, 0.1 ns resolution. Test on ambient temperature dependence, channel isolation, rate dependence also meet specifications.
