Experimental and clinical pharmacokinetics of nitrofurantoin in the early period of life.

摘要: The investigation of pharmacokinetics showed age-dependent rate nitrofurantoin elimination in rats. Nitrofurantoin half-life 0.41 hr adults was prolonged to 0.95 2-weeks-old excretion decreased children younger than 2 years. Older excreted urine 44.32 +/- 16.07 and 25.07 5.7 per cent the given dose nitrofurantoin, indicating lower capacity for via kidneys.
