摘要: The elaboration of 10 years monitoring leachate quality and quantity, treatment degree contamination soil surface waters at the Tre Monti site--an active, 4-million-m(3) landfill in Northern Italy--is presented this study. A hydrological model production is applied, with a good match experimental data. concentrations all components except sulfate are characterized by fluctuations over constant or increasing value. Different ways interpreting data discussed; indicates that pollutant load on facility will remain basically as long waste be added to landfill. analysis relative pre-treatment adjoining, non-aerated lagoon system significant removal achieved for most components; operational conditions plant described, mechanisms discussed. Finally, potential examined analyzing long-term trends sub-superficial sampled near lagoons means an analytical campaign conducted clay cores underneath ponds. values indicate layer located under entire site offers effective barrier migration contaminants.
