摘要: Abstract This paper investigates mechanistically stress corrosion cracking (SCC) of an X70 pipeline steel that is under cathodic protection (CP) in a near-neutral pH solution. It was found there critical potential range, i.e., −730 and −920 mVSCE, where the non-equilibrium electrochemical state, anodic dissolution (AD) reaction may occur when polarized cathodically. When applied more positive than this SCC AD-based; while negative, pipelines hydrogen embrittlement (HE) mechanism. polarization within combined effect AD HE.
