摘要: Four hundred adults presenting with acute watery diarrhoea were entered into a randomised, placebo controlled, double blind clinical trial of berberine, tetracycline, and tetracycline berberine to study the antisecretory vibriostatic effects berberine. Of 185 patients cholera, those given or had considerably reduced volume frequency diarrhoeal stools, duration diarrhoea, volumes required intravenous oral rehydration fluid. Berberine did not produce an effect. Analysis by factorial design equations, however, showed reduction in stools one litre cyclic adenosine monophosphate concentrations 77% groups Considerably fewer excreted vibrios after 24 hours than alone. Neither nor any benefit over 215 non-cholera diarrhoea.
