The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health: a unifying model for the conceptual description of physical and rehabilitation medicine.

摘要: There is a need to develop contemporary and internationally accepted conceptual description of physical rehabilitation medicine (PRM). The process evolving such definition can now rely on the unifying model taxonomy International Classification Functioning, Disability Health (ICF) an ICF-based understood as health strategy. PRM section European Union Medical Specialists (UEMS) has endorsed application ICF for supports moving towards "ICF-based according definitions PRM". With this goal in mind, authors have developed first tentative co-operation with professional practice committee UEMS-PRM-section.
