摘要: Turning is one of the most widely used machining processes. In this chapter, a detailed comparison dry and air-cooled turning has been carried out based on experimental study. Machining cast iron steel considered. Cutting tools considered in study are TiN-coated carbide, CBN, ceramic. It observed that air cooling always provides better performance. particularly needed high speed hard turning.
