摘要: In northern Japan, the growth of Picea abies Karst., and glehnii Masters, which have been planted along highways, is often suppressed due to several environmental stresses. To examine adverse effects deicing salt, primary source stress, we measured needle life span, photosynthetic capacity, water potential transpiration rate two spruce species at a site with damaged trees, near roadside healthy located far from highway. Results analysis showed large amounts sodium chlorine in soil snow site. These elements had accumulated needles spruce. Moreover, physiological traits spruce, were also affected. Therefore, concluded that poor might be attributed an accumulation salt needles, resulting suppression tree growth.
