All solid electric double layer capacitors based on Nafion ionomer

摘要: Abstract The aim of the present work is to demonstrate that an efficient all solid electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) may be realised with electrolyte membrane and carbon based electrodes prepared by using a Nafion ionomer solution. Polymer was casting method. Electrodes were two overlapped layers formed carbon–Nafion paper substrate. Three different separators in configuration have been tested compared: (1) commercial 115 (N115), (2) 1100 solution (NRG50) (3) porous glass fibre matrix impregnated 1 M H 2 SO 4 (FVH2SO4). assemblies (MEA) had thickness 0.6–0.8 mm geometric area cm . EDLCs characteristics studied conductivity, cyclic voltammetry DC charge–discharge methods. Proton conductivities 5.7×10 −2 3.1×10 S −1 measured at room temperature for N115 NRG50, respectively. Specific capacity 13.2 F g has obtained utilising cast membrane. This value 70% specific from sulphuric acid about 140% 115.
