摘要: The main aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness removing invasive downy birch in non-forest peatland applying a single cut. We tested whether removal positively related height cutting, season year and age trees. Our showed that trees cut at higher exhibited lower survival rate than those below or just above ground level. Furthermore, winter produced more non-sprouting stumps recorded after performed autumn. In our opinion, cutting breast is best management strategy for control. However, we suppose effective elimination by not possible, treatment should be repeated subsequent years boosted additional treatments.
