摘要: Object In terms of measuring quality care and hospital performance, an outcome increasing interest is the 30-day readmission rate. Recent health policy making has highlighted necessity understanding factors that influence readmission. To elucidate rate, reason, predictors readmissions at a tertiary/quaternary neurosurgical service, authors studied for Department Neurosurgery two University California, Los Angeles (UCLA), hospitals. Methods Over 3-year period, retrospectively identified adult pediatric patients who had been discharged from UCLA Medical Center after having undergone major procedure being readmitted within 30 days.
