摘要: Abstract Objectives KSA has the highest prevalence of diabetes mellitus among Middle Eastern countries with a range 21%–24%. Gestational (GDM) is well-known risk factor for type 2 (T2DM). GDM associated 7-fold increased T2DM. Thus, this research assessed and factors development T2DM in cohort patients KSA. Methods The medical records who visited outpatient clinics tertiary care hospital from 2011 to 2014 were included study. Patients prior diagnosis before pregnancy those did not have postpartum screening excluded. Results A total 123 women underwent screening, 82 (67%) developed based on follow-up records. Approximately 45% (37/82) screened ≤6 months after delivery, whereas 55%(45/82) >6 delivery. Older patients, had higher number pregnancies (gravidity parity), previous more likely develop Conclusion In KSA, GDM, particularly are older, multigravid, multiparous history at an developing Postpartum within recommended period need be improved.
