摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses asphaltenes that are considered to be the least valuable component of crude oil. The presence asphaltene causes a marked increase in oil viscosity, making it difficult transport and process. Because their high resistance cracking, molecules usually held responsible for decreasing yield petroleum distillates. Also, owing heavy metal components, very biodegrade, them most undesired compound from waste management perspective. Many properties make undesirable can also useful, depending on application. focusses (1) structure moved away conventional thought as contained large polynuclear aromatic systems; (2) standard separation asphaltenes; (3) molecular make-up fraction; (4) weights (5) functional types (6) thermal reactions resins chemistry coke formation; (7) petroleum.
