Missing transverse energy events and the standard model

摘要: Abstract The processes p+ p → W ± , Z0+0,1,2 jets are studied in the light of recent observations events with large missing transverse momentum at CERN collider. We find that a nontrivial number such can arise from leptonic decays Z 0 ν and W± l±ν where charged lepton escapes identification. In both cases one jet two comparable. By correlating these decay modes those leptons observed we can, principle, eliminate theoretical uncertainties inherent perturbative QCD calculations.
