摘要: We designed and developed a control circuit for three-dimensional (3-D) light-emitting diode (LED) array to be used in volumetric displays exhibiting full-color dynamic 3-D images. The was implemented on field-programmable gate array; therefore, pulse-width modulation, which requires high-speed processing, could operated real time. experimentally evaluated the system by measuring luminance of an LED with varying input confirmed that works appropriately. In addition, we demonstrated display exhibits different two-dimensional images two orthogonal directions. Each exhibited obtained only from prescribed viewpoint. Such directional characteristics are beneficial applications, including digital signage, security systems, art, amusement.
