摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter reviews the current status of pteridine biosynthesis regarding folic acid compounds and other naturally occurring 6-substituted pteridines. The discusses folate involvement purines in it. pattern incorporation radioactive precursors into pteridines by larvae butterfly Drosophila melanogaster suggested that shared common precursors. Similar conclusions were reached with Ashbya gossypii Eremothecium ashbyii incorporated riboflavin, which contains a structure. These results may be role GTP as precursor pyrimidine derivatives intermediates. also dihydroneopterin triphosphate synthesis utilization hydroxymethyldihydropterin. p-aminobenzoate p-aminobenzoylglutamate process dihydrofolate are discussed.
