摘要: Squamous cell carcinoma of the colon and rectum, originating proximal to transitional zone, is a rare complication idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease (IIBD). To date there are only 15 single case reports such an occurrence. This develops more commonly in females patients with pancolonic than 8 years' duration. The rectum affected two thirds cases. changes, vicinity primary adenocarcinoma, present 27% pathologically advanced stage one third Colectomy main therapeutic modality. Survival following surgical resection ranged from 7 months 21 years. We additional rectal squamous (SCC) complicating chronic ulcerative colitis 33-year-old woman who had for Multiple biopsies gross lesion located 5 cm above dendate line were consistent invasive basaloid carcinoma. patient received 5-FU, mitomycin C, radiotherapy prior proctocolectomy ileostomy. histopathologic finding at pathologic review specimen was severe dysplasia.
