摘要: High-throughput platforms such as microarray, mass spectrometry, and next-generation sequencing are producing an increasing volume of omics data that needs large storage computing power. Cloud offers massive scalable storage, sharing, on-demand anytime anywhere access to resources applications, thus, it may represent the key technology for facing those issues. In fact, in recent years has been adopted deployment different bioinformatics solutions services both academia industry. Although this, cloud presents several issues regarding security privacy data, particularly important when analyzing patients personalized medicine. This chapter reviews main academic industrial cloud-based solutions; with a special focus on microarray analysis underlines problems related use data.
