摘要: Background Galileo is a transposable element responsible for the generation of three chromosomal inversions in natural populations Drosophila buzzatii. Although most characteristic feature Galileo long internally-repetitive terminal inverted repeats (TIRs), which resemble Foldback element, its transposase-coding sequence has led to classification as member P-element superfamily (Class II, subclass 1, TIR order). Furthermore, wide distribution genus Drosophila, since it been found 6 12 sequenced genomes. Among these species, D. mojavensis, one closest buzzatii, presented highest diversity and structure elements.
