Irradiation effect on luminescence properties of fluoroperovskite single crystal (LiBaF3:Eu2+)

摘要: Abstract Single crystals of pure and Eu 2+ doped LiBaF 3 have been grown from melt by using a vertical Bridgman–Stockbarger method. Effects induced irradiation on europium (lithium barium fluoride) single were monitored optical absorption, photoluminescence thermoluminescence studies. The absorption bands ions with peaks at 240, 290 320 nm observed in the :Eu crystal. Drastic increase was noted below 600 nm after gamma irradiation, which dependent radiation dose. additional peak around 570 nm irradiated crystal due to ionization process (−)e − →Eu 3+ . Photoluminescence shows sharp line peaked ~359 nm broad band extending between 370 450 nm considerable reduction PL intensity irradiation. Irradiated sample has revealed three intense TL glow 128 °C (peak-1), 281 °C (peak-2) 407 °C (peak-3).
