摘要: Members of the genus Geobacillus are thermophiles that great biotechnological importance, since they sources many thermostable enzymes. Because their metabolic versatility, geobacilli can be used as whole-cell catalysts in processes such bioconversion and bioremediation. The effective employment spp. requires development reliable methods for genetic engineering these bacteria. Currently, manipulation tools protocols under rapid development. However, there several convenient cloning vectors, some which replicate autonomously, while others suitable modification chromosomal genes. Gene expression systems also intensively studied. Combining together with proper techniques DNA transfer, strains were shown to valuable producers recombinant proteins industrially important biochemicals, ethanol or isobutanol. This review encompasses progress made surveys vectors transformation available this genus.
