摘要: Alkaliphilic bacterial strains producing the enzyme cyclodextrin glucanotransferase were cultivated on solid agar medium containing an indicator system detecting enzyme. The growth of colony and surrounding diffusion zone, due to enzyme, measured by image analysis during cultivation. It was possible differentiate between relatively similar clones observing quantitatively changes at around colony. Optimal experimental conditions for such measurements are discussed. technique provides a potential tool characterizing microbes grown media.
