摘要: During June and July 1999, oral interviews were conducted on 666 women seeking prenatal care at 9 medical facilities in Chennai Mysore, India, to assess their attitudes towards HIV testing antiretroviral prophylaxis for preventing perinatal transmission if needed. Seventy-eight per cent aware of the risk 36% knew that intervention could reduce chances such transmission. Eighty-six would agree undergo but only 21% all respondents make this decision independently while 46% said husband have decide. Of those who not testing, compulsory.
