摘要: Since the introduction of nanocarriers, delivery chemotherapeutic agents for treatment patients with cancer has been possible better effectiveness. The latest findings are also support that further enhancement in therapeutic effectiveness these nanocarriers can be attained, if surface decoration proper targeting is considered. This study aimed at treating a variety 4T1 murine breast cell line, mainly demonstrating high folate and TRAIL receptor expression cancerous cells. efficacy paclitaxel loaded Cremophore EL (Taxol®), waterborne polyurethane nanomicelles (PTX-PU) conjugated (PTX-PU-FA) (PTX-PU-TRAIL) on was compared. worth noting are: PTX-PU outperformed Taxol® Balb/C mouse model, furthermore, tumor growth adequately curbed by TRAIL-decorated rather than unconjugated formulation. Tumors mice treated PTX-PU-FA PTX-PU-TRAIL shrank substantially compared to those Taxol®, (average 573 mm3 versus 2640, 846, 717 mm3 respectively), 45 days subsequent inoculation. microscopic hematoxylin-eosin stained tumors tissue apoptotic fraction substantiated most successful effects have observed (about 90% 75%, 60%, 15% PTX-PU-TRAIL, PTX-PU, group respectively). Using folate-targeted treat cancers characterized level ligand well this study.
