Use of normal boiling point correlations for predicting critical parameters of paraffins for vapour–liquid equilibrium calculations with the SRK equation of state

摘要: Correlations between normal boiling points and critical parameters (critical temperatures pressures) acentric factors of branched paraffins in the range from C7 to C100 have been developed. These correlations can be used quickly easily compute properties that allow reproduce closely, by means Soave–Redlich–Kwong (SRK) equation state (EoS), vapour pressure pure compounds. In 0.5–5 mmHg values calculated SRK EoS become less accurate they improved using a different for temperature-depending attractive parameter (i.e., Mathias–Copeman alpha function) instead classical Soave function.
