摘要: A monitor that photo-ionizes trace constituents within a quadrupole ion trap (QIT). The QIT may have valve discharges gas specimen into chamber or line continuously the QIT. is surrounded by ring, and an extractor plate has orifice. molecules air be ionized at nozzle of photo-ionizer. Photo-ionizing provides relatively high density molecules. photo-ionizer either pulsed light source continuous wave source. are preferably with energy between 8.0 11.0 electron volts (eV). selected to ionize without fragmenting constituents. radio frequency other oscillating voltage potential applied ring chamber. pulse pull out through extracted then accelerated detector. time flight analyzer measure mass in specimen.
