摘要: This research examined how strongly appraisals can differentiate positive emotions and they emotions. Thirteen were examined, namely, amusement, awe, challenge, compassion, contentment, gratitude, hope, interest, joy, pride, relief, romantic love serenity. Participants from Singapore the USA recalled an experience of each emotion thereafter rated their experience. In general, accurately classified at rates above chance levels, appraisal–emotion relationships conformed to predictions. Also, largely judged by participants as relevant experiences, consistent across two countries.
