摘要: Benthic foraminiferal assemblages and the carbon isotope composition of epifaunal benthic foraminifera Epistominella exigua Fontbotia wuellerstorfi have been investigated along core MD02-2589 located at southern Agulhas Plateau (41°26.03′S, 25°15.30′E, 2660 m water depth). This study aims to evaluate changes in paleoenvironment its influence on δ 13C with a notable focus E. exigua, species associated phytodetritus deposits poorly studied paleoceanographic reconstructions. The (>63 μm) show large fluctuations suggesting significant pattern ocean surface productivity conceivably related migrations Subtropical Convergence (STC) Subantarctic Front (SAF). Low moderate seasonality relatively higher food supply seafloor are indicated during glacial marine stages (MIS) 6, 4, 2 MIS 3, probably northward migration SAF confluence more stationary STC above flank Plateau. lowest organic is from late 5b 4 as consequence increased (AF) and/or weakening over region.
