Intralesional excision combined with intralesional cryosurgery for the treatment of oversized and therapy-resistant keloids of the neck and ears

摘要: This prospective case study presents a new method for the treatment of oversized and therapy-resistant keloids neck ears employing intralesional excision combined with cryosurgery. The were excised in an approach, remaining base lateral margins scar tissue frozen using cryoneedles. After complete thawing tissues, approximated sutured. follow-up period extended over 18–24 months. Over 12 months, scars gradually flattened no hypopigmentation. No signs recurrence seen. Intralesional cryosurgery could well be additional tool to plastic surgical armamentarium, treating this group patients. Level Evidence: IV, therapeutic study.
