摘要: The gold standard method for measuring cerebral lateralization, the Wada technique, is too invasive routine research use. Functional magnetic resonance imaging a viable alternative but it costly and affected by muscle artefact when activation tasks involve speech. transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (fTCD) can be used to assess lateralization comparing blood flow in middle arteries. We fTCD compare indices of language 33 adults three different paradigms: Word Generation, Picture Description shorter Animation task. gave valid results, we subsequently demonstrated its reliability group 21 4-year-old children. Cerebral during spoken generation assessed reliably cheaply using with paradigm that less taxing than traditional word paradigm, does not require literacy skills completed 15min or less.
