Improving cognition in school children and adolescents through exergames. A systematic review and practical guide

摘要: Recent studies and reviews have shown the positive effects of exergames (EXs) on physical activity (PA) fitness in children adolescents. Nevertheless, their cognition been scarcely explored, no previous review has focussed this relationship. The purpose research reported here was to analyse acute chronic use different EXs young people aged 6 18 years, potential confounders, elaborate a practical guide using schools or extracurricular contexts. Studies were identified from 4 databases (Pubmed, SportDiscus, ProQuest Web Science) January 2008 through 2018. Thirteen met inclusion criteria. All showed effect cognition. an improvement executive functions (EFs) (visual attention, mental processing, working memory, response inhibition, motor planning) benefits mathematical calculation, self-concept, classroom behaviour, parental interpersonal relationships. Only 5 used confounders. are effective motivating tool improve years. Didactic recommendations school contexts provided article.
