摘要: Absorbent articles, such as catamenial tampons, for absorbing body fluids have included an effective amount of a nitrogen containing compound to substantially inhibit the production exotoxins by Gram positive bacteria. The is one or more compounds and their salts having general formula: ##STR1## wherein R 1 alkyl group from about 8 18 carbon atoms; 2 3 can be same different. are selected hydrogen atoms. groups substitutional moieties hydroxyl, carboxyl salts, imidazoline. A method inhibiting exoprotein bacteria also disclosed.
