摘要: In the present paper influence of addition chromium carbide (CrC) particles on microstructure, microhardness and abrasive wear behaviour flame sprayed Ni-Cr-Si-B coatings deposited low carbon steel substrate has been reported. Wear was evaluated with a pin-on-block system against SiC medium (120 & 600 grades) over range normal load (5–20 N). It observed that is governed by material related parameters (microstructure, coating) test (abrasive grit size load). The CrC reduces rate three to eightfold. resistance greater coarse abrasives at high loads than fine abrasives. Heat treatment both unmodified (1004) modified powder (1004-10%CrC, 1004-20%CrC) deteriorated resistance. SEM study surfaces showed largely takes place groove formation, plowing scoring. Electron probe micro analysis (EPMA) coating carried out for composition phase analysis.
