摘要: Because previous studies evaluating prosthetic mesh have yielded conflicting results, we compared two permanent (polypropylene and polytetrafluoroethylene) absorbable (polyglactin polyglycolic acid) meshes with respect to histologic appearance, development of adhesions, tensile strength occurrence hernias in rabbits which defects the abdominal wall measuring 2 by 3 centimeters were repaired one meshes. Twenty experiments performed each material, observations made at two, five, seven ten weeks. The inflammatory response was minimal all products. Adhesions more marked polypropylene (Marlex) than polytetrafluoroethylene (Gore-tex); there no difference between In vitro measurements weeks indicated that Marlex superior other materials, products, polyglactin (Vicryl) acid (Dexon). No observed nonabsorbable meshes, but had ventral tenth week. Thus, are not when prolonged is required, they may be useful for purposes, including temporary repair fascial defects, since evisceration observed.
