摘要: The Kruppel-like factor (KLF) family regulates several biological processes, such as self-renewal, proliferation, differentiation, development, and tissue-selectively restricted events of a cell at the transcriptional level. KLF has highly conserved array three C2H2-type zinc fingers with similarity to Drosophila Kruppel C-terminus, comprising GC-rich DNA-binding domain, mediate activation and/or repression transcription. In contrast, N-terminal regions KLFs contain distinct domains that are required for binding chromatin-associated proteins, CtBP or Sin3A. We describe structure—function aspects KLFs, primary focus on protein-binding domains.
