Electrophoretic behavior of solvothermal synthesized anion replaced Cu2ZnSn(SxSe1-x)4 films for photoelectrochemical water splitting

摘要: Abstract Quaternary Cu2ZnSn(SxSe1-x)4 (CZT(SxSe1-x)4) compounds have drawn a great deal of attention for being used in the fabrication optoelectronic devices such as solar cells, photocatalysts, and photoelectrochemical water splitting. However, one major challenge facing utilization this material is to reduce production cost synthesis high quality CZT(SxSe1-x)4 films. In present study, facile beneficial solvothermal route has been reported compounds. The process electrophoretic deposition (EPD) synthesized nanoparticles, systematically compared with each other order obtain films appropriate porosity. XRD patterns, EDS Raman spectra confirm formation phases no trace impurities appreciable crystallinity also near stoichiometry composition all samples. obtained particle size CZTS, CZTSSe CZTSe samples was range 50–100 nm some agglomerate particles 500 nm 2 μm. Based on results thin prepared using EPD best parameters 120 V 5 min applied voltage time were photocurrent-potential current-time curves film demonstrate that photocurrents CZTSe, films, are different −2.1 −6 mA/cm2 CZTS show detectable current under exposure sunlight can an stability 3000 s but sample showed stable photocurrent just 2000 s. According mentioned potentially be suitable candidates further applications.
