Microstructures and properties of SiB0.5C1.5N0.5 ceramics consolidated by mechanical alloying and hot pressing

摘要: Abstract Nanostructured SiB 0.5 C 1.5 N ceramics were formed by two routes of mechanical alloying and consolidated hot pressing. Nano-sized 6H-SiC, 3C-SiC BCN the main phases for ceramics. For SiBCN fabricated from powders milled one-step milling, content 6H-SiC is higher than that ceramic two-step milling. The flexural strengths former latter 312.8 MPa 423.4 MPa at room temperature, respectively. At high reduced 8.2% 28.0% 1000 °C 1400 °C, reduction rates 11.3% 38.5%, average thermal expansion coefficients 1900 °C about 4.5 × 10 −6 /°C.
