摘要: Motor nerves undergo extensive terminal outgrowth when the muscles they supply are “functionally denervated.” In this study, we have investigated role of acetylcholine receptors (AChRs), newly appearing in such muscles, promoting nerve outgrowth. The amount was determined by morphometric measurement branching, endplate length, and ultraterminal sprouts, cholinesterase-silver-stained neuromuscular junctions. Presynaptic blockade with botulinum toxin induced pronounced both rat mouse soleus although sprouts did not occur soleus. By contrast, postsynaptic alpha-bungarotoxin (alpha- BuTx) little or no outgrowth, it caused “functional denervation.” Moreover, alpha-BuTx anti-AChR antibody inhibited otherwise toxin. Other types motor growth, as regeneration, were unaffected these agents. Our results consistent concept that extrajunctional AChRs skeletal muscle play an important control at
